A MESSAGE FROM OUR YOUTH ADVISORY BOARD
Hello!
We here at the Youth Advisory Board are so excited to get to work, providing an important youth perspective to the many programs CCAMH has to offer. We are composed of twelve youth members from numerous high schools and grades in San Luis Obispo County. Whether it be helping out with social media, hosting special youth Parent Drop-In nights via Zoom, or simply volunteering, the Youth Advisory Board will be an integral part of CCAMH. Our first meeting started off with icebreakers but quickly turned into productive brainstorming and planning. The excitement we have for our ability to help make a change in our community is immense, and keeps us motivated to do our work. The youth mental health crisis is one that can not be ignored, and we think more can be done to support the issue. We as a board are ready to employ an innovative mindset, and we cannot wait to see where this program takes us!
