WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO…

Fall is in the air, a season filled with both the excitement and dread of back-to -school, family events and moments to be shared.

For our youth, this season also brings more mental health challenges than any other season of the year. Our kids are struggling and parents are overwhelmed.

This is why we have created the Center for Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CCAMH) under the noble mission of expanding access to quality, evidence-based youth mental health treatment as quickly as possible. Our all-volunteer team has worked hard over the summer to create new avenues of support for children, teens and families.

OUR WEBSITE IS LIVE!

Our website is now LIVE (ccamh.org)! Here you will find information for parents, teens, mental health providers, and community members.

EXCITING NEWS!

More exciting news! We have been awarded funding from MUST! Charities for our Parent Drop-In program. Through MUST! Charities' generous contribution, CCAMH will provide free parent groups led by mental health professionals to help support parents navigate the complex field of youth mental health. These open groups will be held monthly starting Sept 27th at 5:30. More information is provided on our instagram (@theccamh). Thank you MUST! Charities.

We are gearing up to launch our Treatment Center. As you can imagine, there are multiple details and costs involved in opening a new treatment center. This is where you can help. A generous DONATION from you will bring much-needed mental health support to youth. The sooner we can raise the funds, the sooner we will open our doors to families. Please consider donating on our website, or by sending a check to our address (895 Aerovista Place, Suite 106 San Luis Obispo, CA 93401).

We are also ready to work with our Teen Youth Advisory Board. We have recruited a group of incredible youth ready to learn how to be on a nonprofit board and also help guide us in making meaningful change with youth. If you are a teen or know a teen who would be interested in joining, please connect with lan@ccamh.org.
